SOLANO COUNTY, Calif. -- A body was discovered at a structure fire at a grapevine nursery just outside of Vacaville early this morning, a Solano County sheriff's spokesman said.

The fire was reported shortly after 3 a.m. at a nursery in the 6700 block of Pleasants Valley Road, sheriff's Deputy Daryl Snedeker said. The Mercier Grapevines nursery is located there.

Firefighters from Vacaville, Cal Fire and other agencies responded and found a body in a structure at the nursery, Snedeker said.

He did not immediately have any information about the gender or age of the victim.

Firefighters knocked down the fire and were still putting out hot spots at the scene as of shortly before 7:30 a.m., Snedeker said.

Investigators from the sheriff's office are at the scene to try to determine the cause of the person's death as well as what may have sparked the fire, he said.

According to Mercier Grapevines' website, the nursery started at the location near Vacaville in 2006 and exports grapevines internationally.
