Former SJ mayor Reed joins law firm

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Former San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed didn't waste any time getting a new job.

Reed is joining Hopkins & Carley, a Silicon Valley law firm. A news release from the firm says Reed will join its real estate group.

Former San Jose City Attorney Joan Gallo also works for Hopkins & Carley, which has been around for nearly half a century.

Reed served two terms as San Jose's mayor.
