Genentech sponsors Helix Cup Challenge in South SF

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KGO) -- The finale of the Helix Cup Challenge, a Genentech-sponsored science competition, took place on Tuesday in South San Francisco.

The competition is designed to engage middle school students to develop teamwork, problem-solving skills and hands-on science skills.

Nine student teams from the South San Francisco Unified School District competed.
