Warriors fans celebrate win at viewing party in SF

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The Warriors are just one game away from the NBA Finals. Golden State clobbered the Houston Rockets in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals with a 115-80 win, a 35 point blowout.

League MVP Steph Curry led the way with 40 points, raining threes on a Rockets team that was clearly outclassed.

"Final playoff basketball on the road you got hecklers and guys that are up close, (they) pay a lot of money for those seats and want to get their money's worth, " Curry said after the game. "So, it's fun."

Talking about his Splash Brother, Klay Thompson added, "That's why he's MVP, it's that simple. He's the best player in the league, he's someone special and he deserves it because he's one of the hardest working guys I've been around."

Curry also set a record for the number of three-pointers made during the playoffs.

Meanwhile in the Bay Area, some Warriors fans feasted while their team devoured the Rockets. The grills at San Francisco's SoMa StrEat Food Park on Saturday night were as hot as the Warriors.

It's one of the official playoff viewing locations with curry on the menu and on the court. Park owner Carlos Muela says it's a perfect order.

"I'll be working, but I'll keep one eye on the TV screen for sure," he said.

Joshua Bascos' family drove into the city from Fremont. At 10 years old, he's a longtime member of Dub nation.

"Probably all my life, yeah," he said.

Joshua has great taste -- bacon grilled cheese for dinner and his favorite player.

"Steph Curry, no doubt," he said, repeating enthusiastically, "Stephen Curry, no doubt."

"Shooting percentage points and he leads his team to all their wins," Joshua said.

With the team's hot streak comes a healthy boost to business.

"Everyone's a Warriors fan and so it really brings out a great energy," said food vendor Gil Payne.

"We'll probably see over 1,000 people," Muela said.

Joshua added, "It's pretty cool. I love all their food and there's a lot of great fans here."

When the San Francisco 49ers and the San Francisco Giants went to the final rounds they moved all of these food trucks onto the streets to make extra room for chairs, televisions, and all the fans. Should the Warriors go to the final round, they'll do the same.

Game 4 is Monday night in Houston.
