SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- More than 600 doctors and dentists will be volunteering at free health clinics in the Bay Area starting today for people who can't afford health care.
The event is called Bridges to Health and organizers expect up to 3,000 people will show up. Everything is on a walk-in basis. Doctors will be at the San Francisco Armory today and tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Friday, they move to the Coliseum in Oakland from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Services will include root canals and fillings, eyeglass fittings, pediatric care and x-rays.
