Fatal crash closes Hwy 12 in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Calif. -- Police have closed state Highway 12 in Fairfield tonight due to multiple collisions, including one that turned fatal, and asking drivers to avoid the area.

In a statement issued at 7:52 p.m., police said that Highway 12 is closed between Beck and Pennsylvania avenues, and drivers are being re-routed.
