Multi-car crash causes major traffic jam on Interstate 80 in Berkeley

BERKELEY, Calif. -- A multi-car crash caused a traffic mess on Interstate 80 in Berkeley Friday morning.

CHP issued a Traffic Alert at 11:20 a.m. for westbound I-80 near Gilman.

At one point every westbound lane was blocked from the accident.

All lanes reopened around 12:00 p.m., but there are still residual delays.

It is unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.
