BROOKFIELD, Ill. -- 'Tis the season of holiday cookies, stockings and Christmas trees- even for the ring-tailed Lemurs at Brookfield Zoo.

Butch, Dogwood, Moses, Ramses, Sam Bass and Skinner are all home for the holidays at Hamill Family Play Zoo. The lemurs have their own Christmas tree with gifts and a handmade train loaded with fruit underneath.

At a festive table, they gathered to feast on cookies of primate chow and applesauce, yogurt frosting and dried cranberries.

Each has a stocking hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St. Nicholas soon will be there. Although it doesn't appear many cookies will be left by the fireplace for Santa or his reindeer.

The ring-tailed lemurs can be seen at Brookfield Zoo's Holiday Magic from December 26 to 31 from 4 to 9 p.m.
