HAYWARD, Calif. (KGO) -- A group of Little Leaguers are asking for the public's help after thieves broke into their clubhouse on Sunday and stole $7,000.
The money was taken from a safe at Sorensdale Park in Hayward, ABC7 News' media partners The Contra Costa Times reported.
The league usually doesn't keep that much cash in its safe but it had just finished its annual weekend fundraiser.
They were going to deposit the money in the bank on Monday but thieves got to it first.
Donations can be made to the Tennyson American Little League at P.O. Box 3355, Hayward, CA 94544.
