Santa Clara Co. firefighters gain control of two-alarm brush fire

LOS ALTOS, Calif. (KGO) -- Santa Clara County fire crews have gained control of a brush fire that burned dangerously close to homes and I-280 near Magdalena Avenue in Los Altos.

Crews fought the flames from both the sky and ground.

Firefighters have the flames contained after they burned about 3 acres.

Still, the fire is slowing the evening commute along I-280, with two lanes of the freeway shut down in the area.
