NAPA, Calif. (KGO) -- The Napa County Sheriff's office issued mandatory evacuations for Campbell Flats and Campbell Creek in Napa County as fire crews battled a brush fire in the Dry Creek area Monday afternoon.
The fire was reported west of Yountville in the 6000 block of Dry Creek Road around 4:15 p.m.

The fire scorched at least 53 acres and burned dangerously close to homes. Crews running dozer and dropping fire retardant managed to contain the fire by 25 percent.
A witness told ABC7 News that the fire broke out on Mount Veeder Road. Smoke could be seen from downtown Napa.

Deputies said an evacuation center has been set up at the Crosswalk Community Church at 2590 First St. in Napa.
There are no reports of injury at this time.
CAL FIRE is investigating the cause of the fire.
