Tortoise found wandering around Novato, officials search for owner

NOVATO, Calif. (KGO) -- The Marin Humane Society is looking for the owner of a lost tortoise.

Volunteers found the stray reptile on Court Road in Novato last Tuesday. It is an African-spurred Tortoise and its shell is in rough condition.

If the owner does not step forward to claim it, the animal will eventually go up for adoption.
