SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- A couple who got married on a hot air balloon over San Diego found their new life together suddenly took an unexpected turn.

Changing winds altered the balloon's flight after Ruben & Sequoia Mendoza exchanged their vows and they ended up going on a wild balloon ride.

Their pilot, a 25-year veteran of balloon flying dodged buildings and power lines, looking for a safe place to make an emergency landed.

The entire wedding party escaped injury. The balloon didn't hurt anyone or damage anything on the ground.
