1 killed, 1 injured in downtown Oakland shooting

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- One person is dead and at least one other hurt after a shooting overnight in downtown Oakland.

The shooting happened on several blocks around 10:30 p.m. Monday night in the area of 12th and Jefferson streets, where the person died. Another person was shot in the area of 14th Street and Broadway and was hospitalized.

Police photographed a car but it's unclear how the vehicle played into it. There seems to be a pair of pants hanging out of the driver seat.

Oakland police are investigating the shooting.
