Police investigating fatal shooting of 22-year-old Vallejo man

VALLEJO, Calif. -- No arrests have been made in the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old man in Vallejo Sunday evening, a police dispatcher said Monday morning.



At around 7 p.m. police received a report of a shooting in the 100 block of Maple Avenue, police said.



When officers arrived they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.



Emergency personnel responded to the scene and treated the victim. The victim however was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.



The victim was a Vallejo resident and police are withholding his identity until the next of kin are notified.
