BERKELEY, Calif. -- Search crews looking for a missing San Francisco Bay Area student found some her belongings on a cliff above the ocean.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports Sunday that University of California, Berkeley graduate student 22-year-old Shuqin Zhang went missing early Thursday morning after leaving Berkeley.

Her car was later found near Point Reyes Lighthouse in Marin County.

When she went missing, she was reportedly headed home to China but failed to make her flight, the newspaper reports.

U.S. park rangers found her white Mercedes-Benz near the lighthouse at Point Reyes Saturday morning.

The search on the ground, from the air and in the water will continue Monday.

Berkeley police spokeswoman Officer Jennifer Coats says Zhang's friends say she had been feeling despondent and acting out of character lately.
