SAN FRANCISCO -- Police say a man injured a 2-year-old girl in a stroller and stole her tablet computer during a robbery in San Francisco's Bernal Heights neighborhood on Friday afternoon.

The suspect jumped out of a black sedan while a 37-year-old woman walked by pushing the stroller at the corner of Cortland and Prospect avenues at about 3:15 p.m., police said.

The suspect pushed over the stroller and the 2-year-old girl hit her head on the ground. The robber ripped the woman's purse off her neck, threatened her with a gun for more money and took a tablet computer from the 2-year-old, according to police.

He got back in the car and fled east on Cortland, police said.

The victims were taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. The suspect, a man believed to be in his 30s, remains at large.
