SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- It's the end of an era in Downtown San Francisco.
Rasputin Music has closed its store near Union Square.
The store sold CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records from the five-level space near the cable car turnaround on Powell Street. It will likely be a highly attractive spot for national retailers.
The closure does not affect any of Rasputin's 11 other locations, including large stores in the Upper Haight and Berkeley, which opened back in 1971.
