San Jose police arrest 63-year-old man suspected of fatally shooting his wife

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Police have arrested a 63-year-old man who allegedly fatally shot his wife early this morning in San Jose.



At 12:46 a.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Indigo Oak Lane for a report of a person shot, police said.



Upon arrival, officers located a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital, where she later died, according to police.



She's been identified as 48-year-old Sonia Nallan of San Jose, police said.



Police arrested Nallan's husband, James Nallan, also of San Jose, on suspicion of murder, according to police.



Police are continuing to investigate to determine a motive for the murder.
