Firefighter injured battling house fire in Alameda

ALAMEDA, Calif. (KGO) -- A firefighter has been injured while fighting flames at a house fire in Alameda on Fountain Street near Santa Clara Avenue.

The fire department says it broke out just before 12:30. The woman living inside the home got out okay. Fire officials say this was a difficult firefight because they had trouble with access. The injured firefighter is at a local hospital for treatment.

A fire investigator is still on the scene trying to figure out what sparked the fire.
