BERKELEY, Calif. -- A bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision with a car in the Berkeley Hills Sunday morning, police said.
The collision occurred at Spruce and Eunice streets around 8:15 a.m., Lt. Ed Spiller said.
A man driving a black Volkswagen hatchback east on Eunice Street collided with a bicyclist traveling south on Spruce Street, Spiller said.
The bicyclist, a man in his 60s from Berkeley, was transported to Highland Hospital in Oakland where he is in critical condition, according to Spiller.
The motorist, who was the sole occupant of the car, stayed at the scene and was cooperative with investigators, Spiller said.
