Milpitas police dispatcher accused of possessing child porn

MILPITAS, Calif. (KGO) -- A Milpitas police dispatcher, who was once honored as dispatcher of the year, has been arrested for possessing child porn.

Daniel Palmer, 41, was taken into custody in Tracy Thursday.

Palmer joined Milpitas police in 2001 and received the honor in 2010. He's been placed on paid administrative leave.

Milpitas police say they're cooperating with Tracy police with the investigation.
