All passengers on controversial overbooked flight to be reimbursed

All customers who were aboard United Airlines Flight 3411 on Sunday, April 9 will receive compensation for the cost of their tickets.

The flight made international news when video surfaced online of police officers violently removing a 69-year-old passenger who refused to give up his seat on what the airline originally claimed was an "overbooked" flight.

The company has faced major outrage over the incident. CEO Oscar Munoz said publically that he felt great "shame" when he saw the video, and that major policy changes are expected to be instituted at the airline.
