Court case begins over limo crash on San Mateo Bridge that killed 5

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (KGO) -- Opening statements have begun in Redwood City over a limousine crash on the San Mateo Bridge that killed five women.

A bride-to-be was among those that died in the 2013 crash.

The women's families are suing San Jose-based Limo Stop for wrongful death.

An investigation by the DA's office determined the crash stemmed from a mechanical failure and not from any criminal negligence by the driver or the limo company.
