New Rochelle High School welcomes Ray Rice at football game

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Former Baltimore Raven Ray Rice and his wife, Janay Rice, attended Saturday's New Rochelle High School varsity football game.

Rice walked onto McKenna Field holding his baby daughter in his arms Saturday afternoon. He is from New Rochelle and attended the high school.

Extra police and a private security detail along with the school principal and the district's spokesperson.

This is Rice's first public appearance since the latest release of a surveillance video that shows him hitting his then-fiancee in a New Jersey casino elevator. He was then cut from the Ravens and indefinitely suspended from playing in the NFL.
