ALBANY, Calif. (KGO) -- The city of Albany will allow teenager Sam Dubois to go ahead and operate his haunted house again this year.

Last night, the city's planning commission rejected a neighbor's effort to shut down the haunted house, which has drawn hundreds of visitors the past two years and raised money for a local food bank.

The haunted house on Peralta Avenue opens Friday night.
