PALO ALTO, Calif. (KGO) -- A Stanford professor is being recognized for his outstanding scientific work in the field of astrophysics.
Andrei Linde is among the winners of the Kavli Prize, given every two years by the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.
Andrei, along with two others, developed the theory of inflation, which holds that the universe grew extremely quickly in the first split-second after its birth in the big bang.
