Survey shows Americans tired to early holiday store displays
When should stores begin to set up holiday displays and sales?

A new survey shows that 73 percent of American adults are "annoyed by the early holiday shopping season."

The study, conducted by CreditCards.com, also shows that the majority of Americans (54 percent) finish their holiday shopping in December, while 21 percent finish in November and only 3 percent finish before November.

When asked, "When holiday displays and sales should appear," 3 percent of Americans said around Labor Day, 7 percent said around October 1, 21 percent said around Halloween, 52 percent said around Thanksgiving and 12 percent said two weeks before Christmas.
