Single-engine plane lands on Alabama freeway

TALLADEGA, Ala. (KGO) -- A single-engine plane that landed on an Alabama freeway gave drivers quite a scare.

It happened yesterday along Interstate 20 in Talladega about 50 miles east of Birmingham.

One witness tweeted video of the landing. The pilot pulled over to the shoulder after safely bringing his plane down.

Two people were on-board.

The pilot blamed an engine failure for the emergency landing.
