It is estimated that 90 million American's snore, and a new study finds that their partners lose an hour of sleep every night because of it.
Snoring can get in the way of a happy marriage so much so that one in six couples sleep in separate rooms.
While it may seem like a minor issue, Dr. Joseph Ojile, the chairman, and CEO of the Clayton Sleep Institute say over time it can really affect a relationship.
"Some couples don't even realize that sleep deprivation increased irritability, sometimes even anger is being focused on this lack of quality sleep that's building up in a relationship," said Ojile.
Severe and loud snoring is not just annoying, it may be a health condition. The loud rumbling may be a sign of a more serious medical condition called Sleep Apnea.
