Social media users appear to "like" GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz's message more than Republican Rand Paul.
Data provided by Facebook shows 2.2 million users interacted with Cruz's presidential bid announcement in the 24 hours after his message was posted.
Compare that with the 850,000 plus users who interacted with Rand Paul's announcement on Tuesday.
It's was surprise to the Paul camp since they've led a very active social media community for years.
