SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Everyone felt a little bit Irish at the 164th annual St. Patrick's Day parade in San Francisco on Saturday.

The parade aired right on ABC7 and streamed live on abc7news.com. It was hosted by Seven On Your Side's Michael Finney.

Thousands of spectators crowded the sidewalk, as a long procession of Irish dancers, bagpipers and floats marched down Market Street. Families say it's one of their favorite events.

This year's Grand Marshal was Bill Duggan from Duggan's Serra Mortuary and the theme was technology - linking the Bay Area to Ireland.

As always, the parade comes a few days before St. Patrick's Day, which is celebrated each year on March 17.
