Rollover crash causes major backup in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Traffic backed up in San Jose after a car crashed into a pole and rolled over on I-280 Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened near the Bascom Avenue exit around 3 p.m. The vehicle hit a pole which was left hanging over the freeway.

TRAFFIC: Current road conditions and alerts

The woman driving the car left the roadway while going around a curve, went over embankment and crashed into a pole and a tree, suffering minor injuries.

The crash was cleared, but traffic in the area was heavily affected.
