In October 2014, Kyle and Danielle Williams had an ultrasound performed, where the sonographer told them that they were expecting their second daughter. The couple settled on the name Charlee for the newborn girl.

On March 2, 2015, Danielle was induced, and after 20 hours with no newborn girl yet, a C-section was performed. But when the baby was finally delivered, Kyle had noticed that his expected daughter was actually a boy!

At that point, the couple thought of a clever way to deliver the unexpected news to their family. In the video, you can see the couple instruct the newborn's grandparents to change the diaper. The other family members are equally shocked and delighted by the news. The newborn was later renamed Bentley Thomas.

The Williams family, however, is well acquainted with shock. Their older daughter Peyton has a rare blood disorder called Diamond Blackfan Anemia (DBA), causing her to nearly run out of blood. Peyton is one of 800 known cases in North America with the condition. You can learn more about Peyton's story and donate to her cause at the Peyton's Pals website.
