High winds to bring fire danger to Bay Area
Our fire danger will be running extremely high over the weekend thanks to strong winds arriving Friday night. By Saturday morning we expect winds to be gusting over 30 miles per hour across the entire Bay Area and to continue through Saturday night.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Our fire danger will be running extremely high over the weekend thanks to strong winds arriving Friday night. By Saturday morning we expect winds to be gusting over 30 miles per hour across the entire Bay Area and to continue through Saturday night.

It's for that fact a Wind Advisory will go into effect Friday night, lasting through Sunday morning. With these strong winds coming through, the risk of power outages and trees coming down is high.

It is also the combo of very dry vegetation across the region (thanks to a dry start to the rainy season), along with very low humidity levels and now these strong winds that any fires can easily start and easily spread! Stay vigilant this weekend.
