Wedding party falls into lake after dock collapses
An entire wedding party in central Minnesota took an unexpected plunge into a lake after the dock they were standing on collapsed.

CROSSLAKE, Minn. (KGO) -- A Minnesota couple made an unexpected splash at their wedding after someone decided to take a group photo on a dock.

Dan and Jackie Anderson lined up with all their groomsmen and bridesmaids for a photo shoot about an hour before the wedding was due to begin in Crosslake last weekend. But the weight of the 22 people was too much for the dock and it collapsed beneath them into the lake.

A couple of bridesmaids were able to dash off the dock, but the rest ended up in waist- or chest-deep water.

Videographer Megan Fritze caught it all on tape. She says they were the coolest couple she's ever met, noting that they were all smiles after the dock failure.

The entire wedding party was busy drying off as the guests arrived. But, despite the lake plunge, the ceremony started only 10 minutes late.

Fritze says that by the time the couple walked down the aisle, you couldn't even tell something had gone wrong. They were so happy to get married that nothing else mattered.
