Storms continue in Bay Area and Sierra

The Bay Area is expected to experience rain with low temperatures in the 40s and showers becoming less widespread in the afternoon.

You should expect high temperatures in the lower to mid 50s as the weekend closes out.

You might be up late tonight if you're waiting for someone coming back from the Sierra. Winter storm warnings coupled with chain restrictions point to long delays getting out of the mountains.

CalTrans warns drivers to expect "white-out" conditions. Chains are required on Interstate 80 and Highway 50.

As of yesterday, the Lake Tahoe area was averaging around 120 percent normal snowfall for this time of year.
