Sonoma celebrates wine and film

It's the eleventh year of the Sonoma Valley Film Festival and this year promises to be biggera nd hotter than any time before. It's also the only film festival in the world with an official sommelier!

About the festival:

The Sonoma Valley Film Festival announced recently a star-studded program of all-new independent films for its 11th Annual celebration of film, food and wine, which will take place in an all-new, all-walkable Festival Village in Sonoma, California, and run from Wednesday, April 9 through Sunday, April 13.

This year's festival will screen more than 75 films from around the world, including premieres of powerful dramas, sizzling romances, hilarious comedies, inspiring documentaries, and innovative short films and animation.

The 11th Annual Festival has also announced that it will honor award-winning actor Michael Keaton for his outstanding work in film. The special Tribute event, with Mr. Keaton appearing in person and showing clips from his new, unreleased directorial debut The Merry Gentlemen, will take place on Saturday, April 12 at the Sebastiani Theatre. As a special treat, the Tribute will be followed by a 35mm screening of one of Keaton's most beloved films, Beetlejuice, directed by Tim Burton and starring Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Catherine O'Hara and Sonoma County-native Winona Ryder.
