Navy: Jets collide over Nevada

The Navy says two of its jets have collided over northern Nevada's high desert about 50 miles east of the Fallon Naval Air Station. Base spokesman Zip Upham says two crew members have been rescued and are safe. Upham said he didn't know about the status of a third crew member.

Upham says an F-5 Tiger and F-18 Hornet collided late Friday morning near Middlegate, about 110 miles east of Reno.

He says an air crew picked up the two F-5 pilots but that he doesn't know about the condition of the F-18 pilot.
