Pentagon reopens bombing investigation

WASHINGTON

Cell phone video obtained by the Associated Press Monday shows two rows of bodies at a mosque; the A.P. counted at least 10 children and several dozen adults.

The video is not proof, but it does seem to contradict a U.S. military investigation which concluded that only seven civilians had been killed, along with 35 militants.

The United Nations put the death toll at 92.

The bombing took place in the village of Azizabad, where U.S. and Afghan forces were reportedly fired upon and later found evidence of a plan to attack a nearby military base.
