Burglars target North Bay phone stores

TERRA LINDA, CA

The thieves made off with between $20,000 to $30,000 worth of cell phones. Some of the cell phones were stolen from the stock room at the Cellular World store at the Northgate Mall in Terra Linda. That burglary happened at about 2:30 am Tuesday morning. The thieves pried open the back door and went into the stock room and grabbed 20-30 phones valued at about $300 dollars each. About 90 minutes before that, the thieves were in Novato at the Cellular World store at the Vanity Oaks Mall where they took about 80 phones.

Police are searching for the suspects:

"We do have officers checking the surrounding businesses for video surveillance; this particular store did not have video surveillance, but we are looking to see if we can find anything else and locate witnesses," said Corporal Raul Aguilar, San Rafael police.

Novato police do have description of a vehicle - a white 2000-2002 Toyota, possibly a Corolla. Four men were seen inside, two of them were white, two Hispanic.
