2 teens arrested for attempted burglary

Fairfield police arrested a 19-year-old man and two 16-year-old boys for allegedly taking part in an attempted burglary Monday afternoon.

The incident was reported at about 12:55 p.m. in the 2000 block of Starling Way at a home whose residents were away.

Witnesses contacted police and described the suspects. An arriving officer spotted the three teens walking in the neighborhood and detained them.

Police say they attempted to enter the home by breaking a bedroom window. All three were arrested and later admitted their involvement in the incident.

The older teen, Michael Cerin, 19, of Fairfield, was booked into the Solano County Jail on attempted burglary charges. The two 16-year-old Fairfield boys were booked into Juvenile Hall on similar charges.
