At about 8:30 p.m., the Pleasanton Police Department along with the Livermore and Pleasanton fire departments responded to the blaze at Alisal Elementary School, located at 1454 Santa Rita Rd.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the fire, which caused minor damage to the school, was deliberately started by unknown means, according to police.
