Man in stable condition after shooting

RICHMOND, CA

The shooting was reported at about 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Maine Avenue and South 26th Street, according to Richmond police Sgt. Mitch Peixoto.

The victim had arrived to meet up with an estranged girlfriend when he was approached by a suspect who shot him before fleeing on foot, Peixoto said.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds to his hip, leg and stomach, and was transported to a local hospital where he is in stable condition, according to Peixoto.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information was immediately available, Peixoto said.
