Add flair to your home's style

  1. Free your mind and space by eliminating clutter, but make your storage aesthetically pleasing.
    >> Use shelf liners, wallpaper or paper to decorate simple storage boxes.
    >> Put casters under drawers, affix cool knobs, and slide under your bed frame.
    >> Use a placemat or small piece of bold fabric to disguise a rolling kitchen cart.

  2. Add decorative accents to give a new, fresh look to old items for little cost.
    >> Add fabric paint or ribbons to pillow, napkins and lampshades (use pastel colors for Spring!).
    >> Wallpaper can flair to a room when adhered to a dresser, table top, or interiors of shelving or bookcases.

  3. Don't be shy about showcasing some of your favorite possessions.
    >> Decorative plates and silver-plated platters aren't just for serving and can dress up a wall or countertop.
    >> Display collectibles (like shells) in a shadow box as personalized art.

  4. Using paint - and not just on walls - is a quick and cheap way to reinvent a space.
    >> Spray paint chairs, tables, lamps, etc. for a fresh new look.
    >> Add a pop of color to walls by painting shelving or bookcase interiors.

  5. Look everywhere - including in your closet - for inspiration. Turn a favorite printed blouse or a bold silk scarf into art by putting it under glass in a frame. Similarly, look for fabric that you love to create a series of wall hangings.
