The Clorox Co. organized Tuesday's march from one of its portable toilets in the city's North Beach neighborhood, down to the Embarcadero.

An arsonist has torched 27 porta-potties in San Francisco since last November. The city's fire department welcomed Tuesday's effort at publicizing the crime spree.

"If there's an arsonist out there, intentionally setting fires, then that's a danger to our jobs, and what we do, every day," said

The Clorox Co. is offering a $5,000 reward and a year's supply of cleaning products for tips leading to an arrest.
