The crash happened at about 10:05 p.m. on the highway just east of Keller Avenue, said CHP Officer Robert Haven. Preliminary reports indicate a vehicle heading east struck another vehicle that was on the shoulder of the highway, according to Haven.

At least one person suffered major injuries though the extent of them is not known at this time, Haven said.

A Sig-alert was issued at 10:21 p.m. and canceled at about 11:50 p.m.
