The area has been hit by a rash of burglaries in recent weeks, although police have not connected the suspect to the other burglaries.

One neighbor installed a surveillance camera and recently caught someone opening his front gate at 3 a.m., then walking away. He believes the red lights on the camera scared the man off.

"I know two persons that have been burglarized in the past two months, where their house has actually been ransacked. But, that was during the day. This is the first time I've heard of things happening at night while you're home sleeping," said neighbor Richard Wong.

The burglars have taken items like purses and laptops.
