2.3 earthquake reported near Geysers

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.3 struck Saturday morning in Sonoma County.

According to the USGS, the earthquake struck at about 9:34 a.m. and had a depth of 0.9 miles.

The quake was centered 5 miles southeast of The Geysers and 16 miles east of Cloverdale, according to the USGS.
