Dress up your table place settings

Quick Tips from Audrey Mansfield

More people are staying at home to entertain. Here's how you can make your table setting beautiful, creative, and inexpensive for your next get-together!

CHAMPAGNE WIRE TOP AS A NAPKIN HOLDER

a. With a Korbel or any champagne wire top take the metal cap out and paint it any color that complements your dishes, and napkins.

b. When the paint is dry use a little super glue to glue it back into the wire top.

c. Put your napkin through the wire and place the napkin holder on your plate or at the side of the plate.

CHOCOLATE AND CHAMPAGNE TREATS

a. Food suggestions… cut your favorite fresh fruit into squares. Melt chocolate squares and dip your fruit into the chocolate. Serve with the champagne.

FORMAL PLACE SETTING USING RIBBON

a. Use some grosgrain ribbon that you have saved from a previous gift.

b. Cut the ribbon big enough to make a nice bow. Leave enough of a tail to wrap around the napkin.

c. Sew the ends together and pull the napkin through.

BREAKFAST OR BRUNCH PLACE SETTINGS

a. Purchase clip curtain rings or use spare ones.

b. Place a Birthday card in the clip and pull the napkin through the small ring.

c. You can make or purchase small net bags with a ribbon pull.

d. Place an old or sentimental photo in the net bag and place on top of your napkin.
